Linen, canvas and thread
Care
Linen softens with every wash. Look after the thread and it will look after the words.

Handkerchiefs, napkins and cushion covers (linen)
- Machine wash at 30 °C on a gentle cycle, inside out, with similar colours. Napkins can be washed at 40 °C once the first wash is done.
- Wash the first time separately: deep red thread may release a little colour.
- Use a mild detergent without bleach or optical brighteners.
- Do not tumble dry. Reshape while damp and dry flat or on a line, out of strong sun.
- Iron on the reverse while slightly damp, on a towel so the stitches keep their relief.
- Take the insert out of a cushion before washing the cover.
Tote bags and pouches (cotton canvas)
- Spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, or hand wash cold.
- Do not machine wash, bleach or tumble dry: heavy canvas can shrink and lose its shape.
- Dry flat. Iron on the reverse, avoiding the embroidery.
- Empty and close the zip before washing a pouch.
The embroidery
- Never pull a loose thread. Push it to the back with a needle, or write to us.
- Keep velcro, jewellery and rough zips away from the stitches.
Fibre composition
The fibre composition of each piece is listed under “Details” on its product page and on the label sewn into it.
